I am a speech-language pathologist with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Disorders from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. I am also a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
I have worked with a wide variety of speech-language needs including articulation, autism spectrum disorders, augmentative/alternative communication, fluency, auditory processing, hearing disorders, Down Syndrome, Landau-Kleffner Syndrome, and receptive and expressive language disorders. I have extensive experience helping children who face both a communication disability and learning English as a second language.
My treatment approach focuses on helping children develop functional communication skills by blending strong clinical skills, high expectations, and family partnerships in a fun learning environment. I have a particular interest in children with severe language and articulation disorders, as well as exploring the connection between language delays and early literacy. I am thrilled to join the Alliance of Therapy Specialists team!
