I am a speech-language pathologist that recently moved to the great state of Colorado from the East Coast. I earned my Masters at Emerson College in Boston, MA in May 2013. For the past 3 years, I worked primarily in the Early Intervention setting with a focus on intervention for those with hearing loss, autism, genetic disorders, Down syndrome, global delays and speech delays, among other populations.
My experience also includes working with adults with dementia, TBI, aphasia, apraxia, and cancer in the home care setting through the South Shore Visiting Nurses Association as well as working with children with a variety of needs in schools. Home care has been such a rewarding setting to work in because of the partnerships that develop with families and caregivers. I work hard to ensure that families are equipped with the best tools and strategies based on evidenced based practice to help their loved one meet his/her communication goals. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to continue to do what I love in such a beautiful state!
